What to Expect

Essaouira offers a mix of fresh seafood and traditional Moroccan flavors. Since it’s a coastal city, dishes like grilled sardines and oysters are very popular. Local vendors cook seafood in simple ways that bring out its natural taste. If you enjoy seafood, Essaouira is the perfect place to try the freshest catches, and this tour lets you do exactly that.

Besides seafood, you can also find Moroccan favorites. You'll get to taste Amlou, which is a spread made from almonds, honey, and argan oil. This is a local treat in Essaouira and in other nearby regions. For those who like sweets, almond cookies are a popular snack. These cookies use simple ingredients but taste rich and delicious.

In the markets, you’ll see lots of spices, herbs, and fresh produce. Street vendors offer dishes like harira (a thick soup), bissara (a fava bean dip), and msemen (a flatbread). These foods give you a real feel for the local street food scene in Essaouira.

Mint tea is always a part of the food experience in Essaouira and in Morocco in general. It’s a refreshing drink that pairs well with meals or snacks. Along with all those options, you can add your own desired dishes to the tour. Simply let the agency know what you are craving, and they'll do their best to include it in the tour.
