That said, not all costal areas in Morocco experience cool breeze and foggy days. In fact, Agadir, which is a major Coastal city, along with nearby towns around it, are well know to be warm and sunny in winter and throughout the year. So, if you're looking for an escape from winter, we recommend visiting Agadir and its nearby towns.


Weather in Inland cities.

Inland cities such as Marrakech and Fes have cooler mornings and evenings, with daytime temperatures hovering around 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F). However, it's worth noting that the nights can get quite chilly, sometimes dipping below 10°C (50°F), so packing warmer clothing is essential.


If you're planning to visit the Atlas Mountains or the Sahara Desert, be prepared for much colder temperatures. The Atlas Mountains are known for their snowfall in December, making it an ideal destination for skiing and winter activities. In contrast, the desert experiences cold nights and warmer days, with temperatures dropping close to freezing after sunset.


December would be a great time to visit the Sahara. Since temperatures in summer reach high levels during the day in such areas, it is usually hard to enjoy outdoor activities like camel trekking and sandboarding.
